Coaching is a short-term investment in your long-term future. Learning to manage your mind and tap into the wisdom of your body is one of the greatest gifts you can give your future self. This is because your thoughts determine the way you feel, the actions you take, and ultimately, the results you achieve.

 FAQs

  • Coaching is a creative and thought-provoking partnership between a coach and a client for the purpose of helping the client create the results they want to realize in their lives. Coaching sessions uncover each client's unique thoughts, desires, and strategies for success.

Coaching is not advice-giving, consulting, or a substitute for therapy.

  • Sessions are confidential, safe spaces grounded in the belief that every person is perfect, whole, and complete just as they are. There is nothing to “fix.”

No one knows your life’s purpose except for you, and so your coach will never tell you what to do, or impose their own agenda or judgements on you. Your coach will simply ask you what you would like coaching on, listen actively, and ask you insightful questions to help you dig deeper into your core thoughts and beliefs so that you can re-write the internal scripts that are not serving you.

Often times in a session, a client may realize they’ve been holding onto a painful or limiting thought or belief that they were treating as fact, and they are able to let it go.

In a session, your coach may also teach you tools to help you better address specific thoughts, process difficult feelings, tap into the wisdom of your body, and/or discover what it is you truly want for your future.

  • Sessions are 55-minutes and may take place over Zoom or in person in from a beautiful office space in SE Portland.

Robynne approaches each session from a place of neutral, non-judgemental curiosity. She'll ask you what you'd like coaching on and what want to get out of the session. She'll listen actively and ask you insightful questions to help you dig deeper. Often times in a session limiting thoughts and beliefs are revealed and worked through, and strategies for next steps are identified.

After each session, Robynne sends a follow up email with considerations for the week ahead. This is not homework by any means, but many clients find the tools, prompts, and resources that may be shared to be supportive.

Many clients find it helpful to bring a journal and writing utensil to the session.

  • Pay-As-You-Go Private Coaching is available for $160 per 55-minute session. 8 session packages are $1200 and 12 session packages are $1760. A consultation (complimentary) is required prior to booking a session or package.

*Sliding scale rates are available on a case-by-case basis. Please email coaching@robynneweaver.com if you’d like more information.

  • Yes, Robynne is committed to making coaching accessible and generally has availability to take on two sliding scale clients at a time. Sliding scale clients pay per session by cash, check, credit card, or Venmo. Please email for more information.

  • Payments are accepted by cash, check, credit card, or Venmo.

  • Coaching is meant to be short-term for the purposes of uncovering limiting thoughts and beliefs and reaching desired outcomes. Weekly meetings are recommended. At the end of the coaching package, the client and coach will have an integration session. Together they will determine if more sessions are needed, or if the coaching feels complete at that time. Of course, additional pay-as-you go sessions are available to you whenever you feel you could use some extra support.

When you work with a coach, you will ultimately be learning to coach yourself. This is an invaluable skill that will stay with you your entire life.

  • Coaching sessions are designed for individuals. Each person in the relationship can seek individual coaching to help them show up in the relationship in the best way possible. Individual coaching sessions are always confidential and what is discussed stays between the coach and the client.

  • While coaching and therapy share some common tools (derived from cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy research) their focus tends to be different.

Therapy is necessary for treating mental health disorders and working through past trauma.

Therapy is facilitated by licensed medical professionals and may be billable to health insurance.

Coaching is ideal for individuals who want to optimize their approach to a current challenge or goal. Coaching can be a great compliment to therapy.

Coaches are not medical professionals and coaching services are not usually billable to health insurance.

  • If you are struggling with your mental health, we recommend you start with your PCP and get a referral to a mental health professional for diagnosis and treatment. Once in therapy, a coach can be an excellent addition to your care team as you make your way toward improved health. If you are currently in therapy, we recommend discussing coaching with your therapist as a great first step to rounding out your care team.

  • Coaching is focused on the present moment and future goals. If you have unresolved trauma from your past that you’d like to address, we recommend exploring this with a licensed therapist.
